Month # 1 - Time Lapse

Rough in

The crews are busy 'roughing in' the underground plumbing piping for all the toilets. This has to be done before the slab is poured. 

Footers

The first concrete for the building has been poured. Today the concrete footers for the building columns were poured into place. At the end of the day, the work will break for the holidays of Shemini Atzeres and Simchas Torah and then resume, GD willing, full force on Monday

Office Trailer

You know the project is for real when they deliver a mobile office trailer for the crew.

Today they fine graded the building site to get it ready for the foundation

The engineers have put the stakes in the ground to mark the corners of the building

Action time!

During the last year we have did extensive work on the site. As you can see from the 'before and after' pictures below, the entire property was graded, utilities were installed, storm water management systems were put in place, and the pad was readied for the new building.

At long last the construction of the building has now gotten underway. We plan to bring you, on this blog, ongoing updates and pictures of the construction project.

The Chief Rabbi Visits

Rabbi David Schochet one of the senior Chabad Rabbis was in town this week to inspect the Mikvah construction to ensure of its Kosher status.

With the exterior of the Mikvah and locker room building complete the bulk of the workers have shifted to inside.

This has finally cleared the way for the swimming pool work to begin today.
